Got a Lenovo P780? Want to root it without much fuss then follow this quick and short tutorial. Rooting your phone or Android device gives you access to tons of features or options which allow you to fully control your android device.
Like rooting other device, Lenovo P780 can be rooted by a bunch of methods. This tutorial will cover the one which is the most easiest and allows you to root your phone without the need of a PC, all you will be needing is your phone and a connection to the internet. Rooting the phone is quite easy as it uses the MediaTek MT6589 chipset which is one of the most common quad-core chipset used in phones; sometimes it feels like every second phone runs on MT6589.

How to root Lenovo P780:
- You will need to download the latest version of Framaroot. You can download Framaroot from its official page on XDA or you can Google for the apk of Framaroot. After you have successfully downloaded the APK to your device, install it just like any other app.
- Open the app and you will have the interface in front of you as shown below in the screenshot. Make sure that you have the "Install SuperSU" option selected. The app will automatically be set to the Boromir exploit.
- Now just click on "Boromir" and you will get the message as shown below. Now all you need to do is restart you phone and DONE, you have successfully rooted your phone.
- After a successful root you will be able to see SuperSU in your app list as shown below in the screenshot.
Now that you have successfully rooted your phone you can start downloading and enjoying apps which require Root Access to run. Free your Lenovo P780 by rooting it. Also if you want to un-root your Lenovo P780 you can do that too with the same app.

Used it on the stock rom, i have the 4GB variant, purchased the phone in India, and buzz launcher is gone as now im running MIUI rom.

ReplyDeleteYes, u can. Game apk will not be huge so that it can be installed to the phone memory. After that the game data will be download to SD card by the game itself. So no worries... I'm playing Real Racing which almost have around 2 GB of total installed data.

ReplyDeleteP780 allows you to save your downloads to Ext Memory. Its what's amazing about it. Practically no need to root.

You'll mostly get the Chinese ROM which has no Google services installed (Not even Google play store). Of course after rooting, you can do anything with your phone. So if you are surely going to root your phone, then it doesn't matter. Else go for the ROW (Rest of the World) version, which is, obviously, the one available in India.

ReplyDeleteI have tried using the frama root earlier it worked. But now with the latest system update patch it always gives a error 9. Has anyone rooted the p780 after the latest system update release. Mine has 4.4.2. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
